A graduate of The Ohio State University, Dean Appleman has had a varied career in music performance. He has held positions with The Greater Miami (FL) Philharmonic, The Las Vegas Symphony and Chamber Players, The Nevada Symphonic Wind Ensemble and The Columbus and West Virginia Symphonies. He has also toured with many shows as well as performing on several recordings and TV programs. Dean was also leader of the Las Vegas Percussion Quartet and a founding member of The Las Vegas Marimba Quartet.
As a professional musician in Las Vegas for 25 years he performed nightly with a variety of stars and shows, including Doc Severinsen, Steve and Edie, Elvis, Siegfried and Roy, Folies Bergere, Casino De Paris and other too numerous to mention.
Currently Dean resides in Powell, Ohio with his wife, Charlene, who is a piano teacher and performer and his two children, Johanna and Jordan (who is also a percussionist). Dean is currently active playing concerts and shows throughout Ohio.
