Eaton lives in Mount Vernon, Ohio with his wife Pat who is a flutist and an elementary music teacher. They have two married children.
When Katie and Michael were young, their father would take them to Columbus for horn and trumpet lessons with BBC members Ellen Verbsky and Dan King after which the kids would sit in the back of the bandroom at Brookhaven High School and “enjoy” many BBC rehearsals. In spite of such blatant child abuse, Michael is now a member of the cornet section of the BBC, and the legacy goes on.
